While many call this holiday barbaric, Stoning Night has become so ingrained in the culture of Hornfallow that stopping it would be inconceivable by most of the citizenry. Rows of gallows are set up in the town square, along with a large pile of stones. Anyone sentenced to execution is placed in a cell until the next stoning night. When the day finally comes around, they are made to draw straws, with the loser being stoned to death by the crowd. The "winners" are merely hung by the neck until dead.
